Holds large textbooks
I got this bookstand to hold my textbooks for pharmacy school and it does the trick. Shipping was $16 but it was still cheaper and more effective than the alternatives on Amazon. My textbooks are 1800 pages and the dimensions are approximately 11 inches tall by 18 inches wide when open. I typically hold the pages open with my hand or use a cheap clamp I got from Walmart. Overall, pleased wtih the purchase and would recommend. The price can't be beat. Also, it's fairly portable if you want to bring it to class or a library to study. Fits collapsed in my backpack and it's extremely simple to put together.
